Perfect Timing

I received a package in the mail the other day from Sew Unique Creations.  I was impatiently awaiting my order for Tara's new book "Simply Charming", but when I felt the package, it was squishy - I knew it had something other than the book in there.  Guess what else was enclosed????  PRESENTS!!  Did I tell you that I LOVE PRESENTS?????  Take a look at this:

Scraps!  I just love getting scraps in the mail.  I can make a ton of new jewelry with this.  Thanks again Tara!!  And it is perfect timing because look at my view of the outside world (from my sewing room):

Big drifts outside my sewing room windows!
 Don't the trees look pretty?
Don't think I want to tackle those steps today
The birds are very happy that their feeders were filled yesterday!

Over a foot of snow, with high winds produces a very large mess!  So glad I can stay in for the rest of the week.  It sounds like many of the highways are still closed/impassable, and according to the local radio station even the streets in town are still in bad shape.  Of course with all of this wind, as soon as they get snow cleared, it just drifts right back in.  But...again...PERFECT TIMING!  I will just make some new jewelry with all of Tara's pretty little scraps!  Can't wait.  And...remember that new soup cookbook I showed you?  The hubby has made lots of different soups - Vegetable Barley, White Chili, French Onion, and Cheeseburger Soup - so we have lots of leftovers.  Sounds to me like no cooking, no going outside, and lots of sewing!  Yippee!  Just how I like it.

We were productive last week and weekend.  Here are a couple of wholesale orders that we were able to finish up.  The pictures are not very good, but you get the idea.

Hopefully both of these orders have already made it to their destinations.

If you are snowed in today, take that time to do something you enjoy!  Have a great day!!

  1. Wow, you certainly have a bunch of snow out there!! We just have ice on the roads, but nothing as pretty as all that snow. The ice is treacherous though and the kids are enjoying their third snow day!!! I have been doing a bunch of sewing too. It is just too cold to go outside. I love all the goodies you have made. You are so talented.
