Pink Lemonade and New Jewelry

Well...it took awhile, but I gave in to peer pressure!  Lori at Humble Quilts has done it again and has gotten a lot of quilters involved with her latest Quilt-A-Long.  I thought it sounded like fun from the beginning, but I have so much going on that I decided not to participate.  Of course, there are tons of you bloggers out there, showing off your Pink Lemonade quilts, and telling me I could do it...it's just a small quilt...it won't take long...etc!  So yesterday I gave in and started pulling fabrics.  The hardest part for me was deciding on the yellow.  The piece that I really wanted/intended to use just didn't work.  This one is a little bright, but I think it will do (it's going to have to...because I'm not tearing it apart!).  The background is a light pink, but the picture really washes it out.  So...here is my attempt at Pink Lemonade...
To see more Pink Lemonade quilts, go to Lori's blog - everyone is linking up there today!  There are lots of awesome versions to see and you might find a new blog or two to follow.

On another note...I know that I haven't been posting much lately.  I've been busy with all kinds of different things...all things that I really need to post about - but for now, you only get to see the jewelry that we've finished up.  I was really short  on pins, so we made bunches of them.  Also lots of scissor fobs.  I'm probably not going to post these on my website (I'm planning a selling road trip in the near future), so if there are any pieces that you are interested in, drop me an e-mail and we will work it out.  I have another batch of pins that I will finish up today and hope to show you those very soon.

As always, forgive my poor photography - there's a big ol' glare on some of these.  I made lots of new heart pieces so be sure to look at my website to see even more new things.  It's not too late to order for Valentine's Day!

Have a great day!

  2. Wow! You have been busy piecing those tiny quilt blocks! They're so beautiful - I just love wearing mine and always get compliments on it when I do!

BTW - You can always tea dye your pink lemonade quilt if the yellow is brighter than you want - that will tone it down and make it look more mellow!

  3. Wow - you guys have been *busy* - they all look great. Is there an itinerary for the road trip? Need groupies? LOL. BTW - keep forgetting to ask, are the sides soldered together? I've studied mine but just can't decide if that's what you did...

  5. I couldn't tell the background is light pink. Looks more like a light shirting. I like the look very much.
