Wall o' quilts

Lately I've seen a lot of blogs showing pictures of how they decorate with quilts, often small quilts.  It seems that so many people are making small quilts these days, and I love seeing each and every one of them!  One of my very first blog posts showed my Wall of Small Quilts, and I thought I would share it again today.  I have a bunch more of these, but I like the ones that are up, so I have just left them.  I hung them with the tiny applique pins with a silver head, so I could easily take them down and change things around.  Maybe some day!

What do you do with your small quilts?

Hope you have a great day!

  1. I don't have any small quilts! I guess I should rectify that because I really like yours!

  2. I love this, Julie!
I just leave mine in a pile because most of them are NOT quilted. : )

  3. Love them too, Julie yours look great! Small quilts play a large part in decorating our home and in Feburary our new home. I will have fun displaying them in my new sewing room :)

Purchased the "Simple Quilts" magazine 2 days ago...just because of your darling "Pour Little Punky" pin cushion design, so cute can't wait to get started on making him!!!

Enjoy our beautiful fall "Iowa" weather and colors.

    Hugs, Carolyn

  4. I really like the fact that you haven't lined your quilts up like soldiers Julie! Much more fun to have them all catiwumpus this way.

  6. I love to use those cute hangers to display my little quilts. Like Carolyn above, I also purchased the latest Simple Quilts magazine after seeing your adorable Poor Lil' Punky. I've never tried paper piecing before but will have to starting with your design!

  8. I missed your wall of mini's the first time, so I'm happy you posted the picture once again! Most of my mini's are put on display during the season and/or holiday they were made for. When they aren't in season, I roll them up and stand them on end inside a big glass jar (with a lid to keep them dust free), and place the jar on the bottom shelf of an end table in my living room. I took the idea from a picture I saw on the Temecula Quilt Company blog. I bought the big glass jar at Target!

  13. So glad you showed these again, Julie! What a great way to display them and easy to change around! I have a couple of small quilts on small quilts racks, some on tables, and a few just pinned to the wall with tacks!!
    Cheers!

  14. I really like the star in the bottom right - do you remeber where the pattern is from? I have several doll quilts started. I have a few finished ones on the wall in a very blah layout but the rest I hope to layer up in a doll bed or 2.
