This is my little 4 year old grandson, Kaden - isn't he the cutest thing? I love this picture of him peeking through my sewing machine.
He came to visit the other night, and he always wants to "make something for Dad". I need to come up with some ideas of things we can make (all ideas are welcome!). I had some Iowa Hawkeye fabric, so we made little 2" pillows. Not too exciting - but he had fun and that's the main thing!
Have a great day!
Yes he is a cutie!! Love the picture you captured og him peeking!
ReplyDeleteWe have 6 grandchildren and 3 of them are grandsons. I worked with each one teaching them how to sew on my Bernina 440 Aurora Quilter's Edition. Yes I was brave but
Me again, continuing my comment, it was sent before I was finished...I was brave but we visited about the machine and how it works, first!! Also they were not to race the pedal!!e I shold them the decorated stitches first and what fun they were to create... I gave them a piece of fabric to cut and use try out the different designs and how to make them larger or smaller. They had a ball! Let me know how it works fo

He's so cute! Maybe the next time have some fabric crayons and let him draw a picture and make it into a small pillow.
ReplyDeleteBeanbag (sock style) for putting in microwave and draping around Dad's sore shoulders or neck perhaps ? An easy and inexpensive gift that keeps giving.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious pose from Kaden! Does his Daddy drink coffee? How about a manly looking mug rug? I found my grandson sitting at my machine when he was about 4 years old... the machine wasn't powered up, but there was Joey closly inspecting the machine with my cheater eye glasses hanging on the tip of his nose!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteHow about a drawstring bag for treasures...
Love the crayon pillow idea - or a placemat.
Fun!!
I was also thinking mug rug or the cozy that fits around a coffee mug. Bookmarks if he's a reader. A manly apron if he likes to cook or grill.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! Maybe you have a future quilter in the family!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
