Do you remember the quilt that I was working on that my husband was less than thrilled with? He is smart enough to not come out and say it's ugly, but I think that is what he thought! I think his comment was..."it's kind of bright"! I guess he is used to seeing all of my projects in dark fabrics, so maybe this was just a little shocking (trying to give him the benefit of the doubt!). Anyway, the quilt is finally finished and ready to go to its new home.
Not ugly at all! I kind of like it, even if it is brighter than my norm!
Have a great weekend!
Oh, where did I put my sunglasses? jk
ReplyDeleteThis may be bright compared to your usual, but this is not bright. Throw some Kaffe up on your design wall and then DH will appreciate this more. : )
Personally--I love it! What a unique design. Nice job, Julie!
I like it a lot! I don't think it is too bright, but just right. By the way, I got my scissor fob over the weekend and I totally love it!
ReplyDeleteI Love it!Nice pattern too. I usually sew in med/darks too; but every now and again it is ok to go off the beaten path :) I always go back to my
ReplyDeletecomfort zone though. I am HaPpy we have that choice...Marg
Love it Julie! It's scrappy, bright, and a unique pattern... perfect in every way!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely! So charming. My husband does that too. Gets used to a certain look from my quilts and then doesn't quite know what to think.:)
ReplyDeleteI agree...not ugly at all! It is fun to step out of our boxes every once in awhile.
ReplyDeleteLove the combination of the two blocks - they're very similar - but different enough to make it interesting to look at. Like everyone else has said - it's not ugly OR bright!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Julie!
ReplyDeleteNot ugly at all! I would snatch that up in a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteI really like it! It's just bright enough. :-)
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing ugly about it! Love it! Great design and fun fabrics! PERFECT combination!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I love it. Great pattern.

ReplyDeleteVery nice quilt in wonderful colors!! At least your hubby looks at your quilts. My hubby is currently golfing and then will be napping.
ReplyDeleteIt's perfectly lovely. I like the color scheme very much. You do beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great stashbuster! Did you share the pattern name when you posted it before? I guess I could be NOT lazy and go look, huh? LOL
ReplyDeleteOkay, I got un-lazy and found it! I do have a few scraps that I could use up ..........
