It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...or is it??

If you look outside, it is NOT looking like Christmas - it is sunny and 61 degrees today - yesterday the high temperature was 70 degrees!  What the heck?  Are we sure it's December?  If you look at the jewelry we've been making you will know that it is, in fact, December!  Here are a few pieces we finished last weekend...

This is a new style of tree that I hadn't made before - they are 1 1/4" pendants...

These are 1 1/2" pendants...
 1 1/4" Pendants...
 More 1 1/4" Pendants...
These pieces are all for sale, but are not on the website, so if you are interested in any of them, please let me know.  You  can wear them as a pendant or hang them on your Christmas tree.  I could custom make some for your family with names/dates on the back (that's what we did for our family last year!).

Yesterday I discovered that I am out of one of my favorite red fabrics, and wondered if anyone happened to have some that they would be willing to part with.  I would love to have a half yard but would take more if it's available.  I swear that I bought yardage of this, but it is not in my stash closet!

I am still really missing CC - it's just not the same in my sewing room without her.  I know I posted this picture before, but I love it - she had actually gained a little weight here - her heaviest ever was about 9 1/2 pounds (compared to Ozzie's EIGHTEEN!) and she just looked so nice and healthy here.  It was last summer - I was packing up my quilts for a trunk show and lecture that I was doing and she thought she needed to be the Queen of the stack! Most likely she was guarding them from Callie.

Hope you have a great day...

  1. The weather here today was 73! This is crazy. Your little pendants are so sweet but I'm strapped at moment. None of that pretty red here...I wish it's a good one.

  2. I love my little tree charm, Julie.
I was so sure I had yardage of that red print, but all I found was a piece about the same size as yours. It was a different Jo Morton red print of which I had 1 1/2 yards. Kind of spooky how we even DON'T have the same stash!! : )
You never stop missing "loved ones", do you. You just get used to it, I think, and eventually it isn't as painful.

  5. Hi Julie, Sorry I don't have any of the red fabric you are looking for. The picture of CC on top of your quilts reminds me of those graduation "over the shoulders" poses of years ago! We should all look so good in that pose! Treasure the memories.

  6. Hi Julie! I am so so sorry to hear that CC has passed. What a sad time for you. She was such a little friend, always being around you, helping you with your sewing. I know you must miss her. She sure was a lucky little cat to have such a loving mom and all that fabric to cuddle up in. My thoughts are with you!!!

  11. The trees are just adorable, Julie! I searched high and low through my stacks and could not find that fabric. I thought for sure I had it, too! It's a Jo Morton, isn't it? I'm sure CC is thinking of you as much as you are of her.
    Take Care!

  12. No luck finding your red fabric--so far--but I have another bin or two to check. Will let you know right away if I find any.
I think I heard the word "snow" in tonight's forecast, but I won't believe it till I see it. We Iowans don't need a lot of snow, just some on the fields and lawns and other places we don't walk or drive. Now, wouldn't that be perfect?
