So many projects, so little time...

It seems that I have many projects started, but have very little time to work on any of them. But, I have made a little progress and thought I would share it with you.  This is from Edyta Sitar's Friendship Triangles book.  I think this would be such a fun program to do with others, but my LQS didn't jump on the bandwagon.  Maybe I should host it through my blog?  I love the movement of this quilt - and it's amazing how you can use up some of your "uglies" and no one will ever notice!
I am slowly and surely working on my wool Summertime blocks from Primitive Gatherings.  I keep telling myself that I will sit down for at least an hour each evening to work on these, but it rarely happens.

These two blocks are from the kit that I bought at Country Sampler, called Dancing With the Stars.  I have the rest of these blocks all cut out and ready to sew!

And last, but not least - the latest bonus block of my Non Farmer's Wife quilt.  Instructions came out yesterday for the next three - I cut them out last night and they are ready to sew.
I have to say that this is what takes up the vast majority of my time - though I'm not complaining!

Now I better get back to it!

Have a great day!

  1. Oh, my goodness, Julie! Amazing stuff! The jewelry is incredible!!
"Birds in the Air" looks great. I love "Dancing with the Stars." Those wool blocks are so pretty--ALMOST makes me want to start a wool project. And the triangle quilt is stunning. And people ask me if I sleep--I know you must not!

  2. You have been one busy girl. I can't believe how much jewelry you've gotten made nor all those blocks!! Everything looks great. If I wasn't so busy, I'd almost join you on making that first quilt. I really like it and it would be great for using up scraps of fabric.

I missed your last post about the fabric search. You might want to try Sew Elegant in Port Huron, Michigan. The place is unbelieveable and I've had tons of luck searching down an old fabric. You might give them a call as they might be able to help you. I've seen fabric there five+ years old. The shop has over 11,000 bolts of fabric so it would be worth a try.

  3. Lovely jewelry pieces!!

So much quilty goodness in one post. Your little wool blocks are adorable. How about instead of saying you'll stitch for one hour (which sounds like a long time) you'll do at least 15 minutes. Chances are you'll end up stitching for longer then 15. Have a terrific day!

  4. Love those wool blocks. I did blocks from a previous summer program that Primitive Gatherings had.
I watched a segment on Alex Anderson's quilt show that featured Edyta where she talked about the fabric exchanges to make this quilt and others. It was very interesting.

  5. Gosh - you've been a very busy gal, Julie! I love the quilt and the wool blocks are just yummy! I am SO tempted to get the Dancing with the Stars kit - I just love the prints and the block! Your jewelry is stunning - those pieces won't last long in any shop! Have you had to use your Christmas present yet (wink)??
    Cheers!

  6. Wow! So much eye candy in your post! I'd love to make the triangle quilt also - I have both of her books and all the quilts appeal to me! Your wool blocks are yummy, and of course the quilted jewelry is so special! Did the quilt store in Logan Utah ever contact you about selling them in their shop? I gave them your information several times and then didn't follow up anymore.....

  10. Amazing quilt using the triangles. I seen someone else post one yesterday linking Edita Sitar on FB. Could that have been you? I'm one of her fans. I'm working on one of her patterns now. If you do host a friendship triangle swap through your blog, I would love to join in. I haven't done a swap in so long. Wow, your jewelry is phenomenal! The log cabin block is my all time favorite. I'm assuming you sell them?

  11. With the price of fabric we definitely need to incorporate our "uglies". You should feel great about your progress you have made on your projects. I'm impressed...everything is beautiful! I really need to get the "Dancing with the Stars" pattern. I love it!
