We are busy getting ready for a show in Iowa City - it is part of the I-80 Shop Hop (you can read about the Clear Lake Hop here). This show is much closer to home for me, so I was happy for the invitation to vend there. Here are the details on the show...
Where: Clarion Highlander Hotel in Iowa
City
Exit 246 I-80 and Hwy 1.
When: Saturday, February 15, 10:00 - 5:00
Sunday, February 16, 10:00 - 4:00
I love the idea of these Shop Hops - SIXTEEN vendors - all under one roof! How much easier can it get for all of us Quilt-a-holics?! If you are in the area - please stop by and say hi.
We've been busy getting ready for the show, and also sent out the third charm in Charming 2 - here they are...
One last thing....I've had numerous people leave comments on my blog that are "no reply commenters". Please check your settings. If you don't have a clue how to fix it (I'm technologically challenged...so I get that!!) take a look at this link - Lori did a great job explaining how to fix it - and change your settings! I always reply to every comment that is left here - so if you don't hear back from me, that means you are a No Reply Commenter.
And speaking of no reply people...recently Jackie Patton asked a question about a fabric that she saw in this post. Jackie...that fabric is from Moda and is a line by Laundry Basket Quilts called Dancing in the Rain.
And last...since everyone has to talk about the weather - we've had a lot of snow and have more in the forecast for the next 4 days. Doesn't bother me one little bit until I have to go out and drive in it and then I am the grouchiest person in the world! So...think I will just stay in my toasty sewing room, surrounded by fabric, with a cup of coffee! Yep...makes me happy!
Hope you have a great day!
I love seeing the mass of charms before they go out. I can't fathom all of the intricate work that must go in to creating such a sight!
ReplyDeleteWish I could stay in--been snowing for 2 days straight and today I HAVE to venture out. Yuck.
Glad to read that you finally got that fabric. Talk about elusive!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful vending weekend. I wish I had an open weekend so I could head SE for a few miles, but I've had other plans made for this weekend for a while.
One more caution re: no-reply comments. I've received comments from several ladies through Google+, and those users need to be aware that there may be NO E-MAIL tied to those accounts. I read about this from a posting by Wanda of "Exuberant Quilts" blog fame.
So many accounts, so many options.
Stay warm. Stay safe on the roads.
Just one cup of coffee???
ReplyDeleteI'm not bothered by all the snow in Iowa... but I'm not fond of the day after day minus wind chills!
Your charms look so awesome in that big bowl! Have a great show.... wish I could head east to see you but I have other commitments.
.....and kitties!!! :-) Luckily, we escaped this latest storm. I am still amazed at that miracle. Seems like it started snowing in October, and the only days it hasn't snowed, we've been at subarctic temps (I'm talking -30's+ withOUT the windchill)..... I'm beginning to fear the snow won't melt until July.... Love that fabric you were hunting....can't wait to see the quilt! And, oh.....all those charms....they're absolutely precious!! Wish I could have played along with your club..... Stay safe and warm....and best of luck with the show!! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Your bowl of charms looks like a welcome hint of spring. Hope the roads are clear for your trip next week--I'm sure lots of ladies will be happy to get out of the house and attend. This is a great time of year for sitting and stitching while watching Hawkeye basketball! ~Roberta
